Your Garden: An Ideal Place for a Wall Fountain

p_612__49949.jpg The area outside your residence can be polished up by including a wall or a garden fountain to your landscaping or garden project. Historical fountains and water features have sparked the interest of modern-day designers as well as fountain manufacturers. You can also strengthen the connection to the past by including one of these to your home's interior design. The water and moisture garden fountains release into the environment draws birds and other creatures, and also balances the ecosystem, all of which add to the advantages of including one of these beautiful water features. For example, birds lured by a fountain or birdbath can be useful because they fend off bothersome flying insects.

Wall fountains are a good choice if your yard is small because they do not require much space in comparison to a spouting or cascading fountain. Either a freestanding fountain with an even back and an attached basin set against a fence or a wall, or a wall-mounted style which is self-contained and hangs on a wall, are some of the options from which you can choose. A fountain can be added to an existing wall if you include some sort of fountain mask as well as a basin to collect the water below. It is best not to undertake this job on your own as skilled plumbers and masons are more suitable to do this type of work.

How to Design the Optimal Space Indoors or Out

Multi -Tiered Water Features

Gardens are typical places to put up a multi-tiered fountain, a style which has historically been very fashionable. The regions in the southern region of Europe tend to have a lot of these types of fountains. The courtyards of buildings and communal areas are just two the places you might see one.

Impressive carvings can be found on some of the most elaborate tiered fountains, while others have much simpler designs.

Any area can be enhanced with one, even though a more traditional setting is sometimes more suitable. The fountain should look as old as the rest of the space and blend in accordingly.

The Revelation Water Fountain at the Gardens of Chatsworth

“Revelation,” the newest inclusion to the decorative outdoor fountains of Chatsworth, was planned by recognized British sculptor Angela Conner. In commemoration of the Queen’s 80th birthday, she was commissioned by the late 11th Duke of Devonshire to create a limited edition bust of Queen Elizabeth designed of brass and steel in 2004. Jack Pond, one of Chatsworth’s oldest ponds, had “Revelation” put up in 1999. It takes the shape of four big flower petals designed from steel which opens and close with the water movement, alternately concealing and revealing a golden globe at the sculpture’s center. The sculpture’s proportions are five meters in height by five meters in width and includes a metallic globe painted with gold dust. This most recent water fountain is an exciting and innovative addition to the Chatsworth Gardens, unique in that the movement of the petals is completely powered by water.

A Solar Powered Fountain?

Have you always wanted to enhance the look of your residence? Well, think about adding beauty and value to your residence by installing a solar water fountain. You get all the rewards of an electric fountain, as well as other financial benefits and an overall betterment to your health. Even though there may be a greater expense at the beginning, the long-term investment will make it worthwhile. Because your fountain will not be fueled by electrical energy, there will be no need to be concerned about any power outages.

Running water fountains means that your use of electricity will increase and thus your monthly bill. Keep in mind that while you may not notice any rewards right away, your home will be worth more down the road.

The increased expenses resulting from using more electricity is not the only factor, it also damages our eco-system. The only source of energy used by solar powered water features is sunlight making them a “green” alternative. Using solar power to run a water feature is not only favorable to our environment but it also heats and cools our homes.

This type of fountain demands less maintenance than others. As there is no electrical motor that can get clogged, little cleaning is required. And less cleaning means more time to enjoy yourself!

What Are Outdoor Water fountains Manufactured From?

Though they come in alternative materials, today’s garden fountains tend to be made of metal. Metallic fountains, with their clean lines and sculptural accents, come in in a variety of metals and can accommodate any style or budget.
